Galapagos Lava

Hey everyone! Yesterday Sunny and I were editing some photos, and I was fascinated with the pictures she took from her last trip, the Galapagos Islands.  Among seeing pictures of Marine Iguanas, shrimp-pink flamingos, and blue-footed boobies, I was especially enthralled with the Sullivan Bay lava photos. As I looked at the petrified black carpet covering the island, I couldn’t help but but wonder about the now mysteries that were covered up. The intricate patterns and markings only give a subtle clue as to what was there a little over a hundred years ago. In one picture Sunny captures a little girl from the trip Susannah, climbing in a lava tube, another mystery as to what caused the lava to cool into these abstract designs!
